Rockville, Maryland - Champions Field House announced today that its state-of-the-art facility is now open for business, showcasing the first nationally sanctioned futsal pitch in the D.C. metro area. It is the first new sports complex to be built in Montgomery County in a decade.

The field house, a 50,000-square-foot complex, provides an opportunity for athletes of all ages to grow and learn as dedicated athletes. Its "clubhouse" environment caters to team development in niche sports and enhances the athletic experience.

"Champions Field House not only facilitates the opportunity for local athletes to improve their game, but it also caters to the entire community," said Jenna Ries, executive director of Champions Field House. "We hope it will become a cornerstone for the area, promoting excellence through training, discipline and a genuine love of sports."

To make the field house a reality, Ries teamed up with other renowned, local coaches including Jim Bruno, who will be in charge of soccer; Devin Payton, who will be the futsal director; Mike Haight, who will take the lead on girls' lacrosse; and Jason Gasaway, will be the baseball director. Chiropractic sports physician Dr. Steven Horwitz will be the Field House's strength and conditioning specialist and certified nutritionist.

Champions Field House offers a variety of sports and activities, focusing on the training and development of niche market sports such as field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, volleyball and futsal.
